March’s Recap
This was an exciting month for Clay. BassFan signed on to be Clay’s primary sponsor for 2006 (see Clay’s beautifully wrapped boat above), and Strike King extended and expanded their relationship with Clay. On March 1st, Clay made his FLW Tour debut on his home lake (Pickwick). He finished ahead of reigning BassMaster Classic Champion Luke Claussen and reigning FLW Tour Champion George Cochran. Clay then had time to practice his fishing in preparation for the Stren Southeast tournament in Eufaula, Alabama. Following this he traveled to Powder Springs, Georgia, to speak at a wild game banquet at the Macland Baptist Church.
April’s Outlook
April is going to be a busy month. In addition to preparing for and fishing in the FLW Tournament in Rogers, Arkansas, and the Stren SE Series in Manning, South Carolina, Clay has several speaking engagements. He will start the month in Eden, North Carolina, speaking at several functions, the first of which will be an annual fish fry for fishermen and hunters on Saturday evening at the YMCA in Eden, North Carolina, and then speaking at a church service on Sunday morning. He is scheduled to speak at the Heritage Christian Church in Fayetteville, Georgia. Clay will finish the month with a fishing tournament in Cleveland, Tennessee followed by a church service on Sunday morning.

Clay’s Inspiration from March
I have been inspired this month by the faith my sponsors have placed in me. Their commitment to me makes me want to work that much harder to accomplish as much as possible in my fishing career while inspiring others to overcome the obstacles that may be placed in their lives.
Clay’s Challenge for April
Please continue to pray for Clay’s safe travels and that he would continue to be a positive inspiration and role model for all with whom he comes into contact.
Thanks again for your support of Clay and your assistance in helping him to live his dream. Until next month….
