SKEETER Pro, Alton Jones will be hosting his charity event called, Fish with the Pros, on November 11th and 12th in East Texas. The event is put on by Jones to benefit LifeLine Youth and Family Services out of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Jones mentioned the 2006 event has been sold out for several months.
The pros that will be participating in the 2006 event are Alton Jones, Brent Chapman, Todd Faircloth, Gary Klein, and Matt Reid. All of the pros are donating their time for the event. |

”It is a two day event and each pro will be paired with two guests on each day,” said Jones. “We will be fishing some very exclusive private lakes in East Texas. There will be only one pro per lake and the lakes range in size from about 100 acres to as big as 750 acres. During last year’s event, one of the guests caught a 12 pounder! We will average 50-75 bass per day per person this year,” said Jones
The guests and the pros will be staying and dining together at a large East Texas ranch. Jones said that one of the neat things about this event is the camaraderie and the friendships that develop. “There are not many settings where a fishing fan can get that close to the pros for such an extended period of time, and it's all for a great cause,” said Jones.
LifeLine is a charity that supports abused and abandoned kids and this year they will serve over 1,000 children with everything from counseling to complete "live-in" services.
NOTE: Alton Jones will be a guest on BASS ZONE Live on October 25th. |
